Berdasarkan buku komik yang diterbitkan oleh DC/Vertigo, film “Constantine” ini berkisah tentang detektif supernatural John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) yang benar-benar telah pergi ke neraka dan kembali lagi.
Ketika Constantine bergabung dengan polisi wanita yang skeptis Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) untuk mengungkap misteri bunuh diri saudara kembarnya (juga diperankan oleh Weisz), penyelidikan mereka membawanya ke dunia iblis dan bidadari yang menguasai bawah taman Los Angeles di masa kini. Keduanya tertangkap di dunia yang aneh itu, dan berusaha mencari kedamaian berapa pun harganya.
“Constantine” adalah film pertama dari sutradara Francis Lawrence, yang sebelumnya banyak membuat video-klip untuk musisi dan penyanyi kaliber internasional seperti Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Incubus, P.O.D.
Gak ada kerjaan, Minggu 07 July semalam, iseng2 aku buka channel Trans TV, penasaran dengan filmnya aku mau2nya nyempatin waktu buat nonton nih film. Selama ini, aku cuman liat iklannya, gk sempat2 nonton, baru semalam aku nonton nih film…dannn,,wahh..banyak hal yg baru..menurutku..^_^
Operator: Yes I understand you want to speak to anyone . You can speak to me .Who is this?
Caller: I`m Sam Wan.And I need to talk to Annie Wan! It`s urgent.
Operator: I know you are someone and you want to talk to anyone ! But what`s this urgent matter about?
Caller: Well …. just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother Noe Wan was involved in an accident. Noe Wan got injured and now Noe Wan is being sent to the hospital.Right now , Avri Wan is on the way to the hospital.
Operator: Look, if no one is injured and no one was sent to the hospital , then the accident isn`t an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but i don`t have time for this!
Caller: You are so rude! Who are you?
Operator: I`m Saw Ree.
Caller: Yes you should be sorry. Now you give me your name
This lady approaches a priest and tells him, “Father, I have a problem. I have these two talking female parrots, but they only know how to say one thing.” “They only know how to say, ‘Hi, we’re prostitutes. Do you want to have some fun?’”
“That’s terrible!” the priest exclaimed, “but I have a solution to your problem. Bring your two talking female parrots over to my house and I will put them with my two male talking parrots who I taught to pray and read the bible. My parrots will teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase and your female parrots will learn to praise and worship the Lord.”
“Thank you!” the woman responded.
So the next day, the lady brings her female parrots to the priest’s house. The priest’s two male parrots are holding rosary beads and praying in their cage.
The lady puts her female parrots in with the male parrots and the female parrots say, “Hi, we are prostitutes. Do you want to have some fun?”
One male parrot looks over at the other male parrot and exclaims, “Put the beads away. Our prayers have been answered!”
Two little kids are in a hospital, lying on stretchers next to each other, outside the operating room.
The first kid leans over and asks, “What are you in here for?”
The second kid says, “I’m in here to get my tonsils out and I’m a little nervous.”
The first kid says, “You’ve got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and ice cream. It’s a breeze!”
The second kid then asks, “What are you here for?”
The first kid says, “A circumcision.”
And the second kid says, “Whoa! I had that done when I was born. I couldn’t walk for a year!”

(1) Untuk segala sesuatu ada masanya.
Kehidupan manusia adalah perpaduan dari pengalaman suka dan duka, tak seorang pun dalam masa hidupnya selalu berbahagia, atau selalu sengsara. Kita semua suka kebahagiaan dan tidak suka penderitaan. Sehingga kita terus menerus mengejar kebahagiaan dan menghindari penderitaan. Sebenarnya penderitaan dapat membuat kebahagiaan menjadi lebih berarti; dan kebahagiaan juga dapat memberikan penghiburan terhadap penderitaan. Fakta menunjukkan kepada kita bahwa kita tidak dapat menolak kesusahan, jika kita mau percaya pada perkataan Pengkhotbah dalam Alkitab, dia mengatakan : untuk segala sesuatu ada masanya. Kita akan dapat menjelaskan arti dari setiap pengalaman hidup manusia. Masa kehidupan manusia adalah masa “hidup” dan “mati”. Setiap orang setelah meninggalkan dunia ini akan terus berjalan menuju kepada kematian. “Kematian” adalah suatu masa, yang merupakan perjanjian yang sudah ditetapkan atas setiap manusia, tidak dibatalkan , juga tidak dapat ditiadakan. Biarpun kita hidupnya begitu kaya, atau begitu miskin , kita pada suatu hari akan meninggal; Betapapun kita menghargai hidup kita atau betapapun kita tidak puas terhadap hidup, kita akhirnya pada suatu hari akan mau tidak mau diperhadapkan kepada kematian.

Watch the man on the left walking, crossing the road where there is no car. It is so definite that the coast on the left is clear, and safe to cross. Any person would see it is safe….
